So, it's been a while since we last signed off. My camp season is in full swing and I have been working hard. Any spare moment has been spent hanging out with Finlay or Tyler or both (rarely together, unfortunately) or sleeping. I have been feeling under-the-weather lately but I have a feeling that will turn around soon and my role at camp changes to a less intense one in about two weeks. So, we will have more blogs to post come summer.
Finlay has been changing a lot lately! He is starting to say some words, such as "no," "water," "mama," and signing a lot more with new words such as "hurt." He is also just talking in baby-talk which sounds a lot like words and sentences these days.
He has mastered walking and he is taking up some new challenges like walking backwards, running, and somersaulting! When we play on the bed he likes to do a downward-dog type position and then I tuck his head and push his bum over and he somersaults! He loves it and is now trying to do it on his own!
Finlay spends much of his days exploring outdoors, tasting all sorts of rocks, throwing rocks, looking for rocks to carry, and talking about rocks. He played in the lake the other day and even touched a Newt!
Here are some pictures from a visit to the beach we took a couple of weeks ago and some from around camp!
Finlay is getting to know his Potty. He likes to sit on it with his diaper on. If you ask him where poop goes he points at his potty.
Mama hugs!
Watching "NanaLan'" on the iPad.
Having lunch on the back porch at camp! A beautiful sunny day and a perfect place to play!
Back in Victoria, we walked to the beach one morning with hot drinks and some bakery snacks.
Finlay was in rock heaven.
Throwing rocks.
It's challenging to walk on the beach for us, so very challenging for Fin. There were a few falls. But with a fall comes a hug and a kiss to make it better.
There he goes!
Beach babe.
