VIDEOS! - Nov-Present!

So, we have fallen terrible behind on any blogging and are trying to catch up. So to get something going I thought we could throw together a random assortment of videos of our children being adorable. As we play catch up we will likely also have some back dated blog posts about christmas and Fin and Shay's birthday! But for the time being, here are some videos starting with oldest until most recent. Enjoy!

Back in the summer, Shay discovered a really fun game to play with a ball.

The kids were really into Neil Young's 'Ohio' - It has been one of their lullabies for a while, so they know most of the words.

After Halloween, Shay knew how to ask for candy! Most of it was seaweed snacks, larabars, and dried fruit. But I am not a total weirdo, there was fair trade, organic chocolate and organic gummy worms from the local chocolatier! (I realize how that sounds)

Fin is 'Max the Mathematician!' - he performs a skit from Sesame Street.

One morning, while I was getting dressed, it got really quiet...

Bows and Arrows

March 2015

Here in the HRGC household, each Friday night is 'Movie Night'. A movie is watched together and the subsequent week(s) are all about re-living, and acting out, said movie.

After Robin Hood...

Tyler made a couple of bows and arrows.

I threw together some felt hats (Shay's hat, which is not pictured here, turned out way better).

And Finlay was ROBIN HOOD!

Shay was a bit confused.

He refused to wear his awesome hat.

But, as always, he is totally interested in doing whatever his big bro is doing.

The bows actually shot arrows! Outside, of course. Fin got pretty good at it! So good that the arrows were quickly lost on the roof and into the neighbour's yard.

Sick and Better

January 2015

January began with some rest and relaxation, followed by two birthdays...

Then, there was this:

First, Fin got sick. Then I seemed to have a fever... AND Fin was booked for surgery that day!

Ty took Fin to his surgery, which went great, despite his congestion.

On the day of the surgery, Seamus also had a fever. This photo is post-op, at home, all of the sickies.

Still cute.

This one really captures it.

We watch A LOT of Netflix.

But, then we got better (well, the kids did).

And Ty and the kids made waffles.

And Shay did more cute stuff.

And there were cookies...

They look a little older than in this photo, taken one year ago (January, 2014).

We love watching the cookies and cupcakes bake - you can see them change and grow!

I swear, the entire month we were sick or baking to forget our sickness.

It's Christmas Time!

They also got a leather sheath for their swords - all from an artist in Victoria! Fin picked one out for Shay and has been talking about it for a month. He was pretty surprised that Shay got him one too!
