Today, at 2:37am, we welcomed little Seamus into our family. He came quickly, after only two and a half hours of labour, and was born at home in the birthing tub (just like I wanted!). It was really an ideal, short, and beautiful birthing experience. Night and day from Finlay's entry into the world but both were amazing!
Here is Tyler and Seamus just a 1/2 hour old.

He seems so much smaller than Finlay did at that age.
Uta guessed his weight right on.
Another big foot with long skinny toes. He has long skinny fingers too.
The brothers meet. Finlay woke up shortly after Seamus was born. After the babe and I were settled in bed, Finlay came in to meet "his baby" brother. The look of amazement and excitement on his face was incredible. He said "baby home."
He just couldn't take his eyes off of the baby.
He touched the squirmy little thing so gently.
We tried a first cuddle but Fin wasn't really ready for it so it was short-lived.
Later in the morning, before heading off on a playdate, Finlay only wanted to see and talk about the baby. We told him the name and he is already calling his brother "baby Shay."
We are all alert and feeling really good! So excited about the whole experience so far.

Wow congratulations. Two wonderful children into the world now. Seamus is as gorgeous as his big brother.I am so happy to hear the birth was perfect. You all look so elated with new baby bliss. Enjoy!
